Corporate
Plan
Summary
FOREWARD
The
Ministry of Defence, National Security and Immigration has emerged as
a stabilizing force in the country over the years. It has, through the quick action of the military and
police quelled possible civil unrest and chaos, through
decisive and immediate intervention.
The
Department of Immigration has contributed to the security
and economy of Fiji by collectively agreeing to remain united,
despite our many differences, to showcase to the people
of Fiji and the international community that our country
was open, safe and secure for holiday travels and business
opportunities.
The
significant changes in policy, the determination of Government
and the accompanying hard work of under-resourced staff
had re-established investor confidence much quicker then
anticipated. This coupled with excellent service delivery
and enforced accountability were the added impetus behind
a revamped management team, which saw us through adverse
publicity and numerous personal sacrifices.
The
fulfillment of our corporate objectives in 2003, will put
everything back into perspective, where public awareness
and partnership must be enhanced to bring back lost pride,
confidence and trust into this strategically placed Department.
Our new 'DAWN"
This
Corporate Plan ensures that Government's vision of a, Peaceful,
Prosperous Fiji is realized, through our combined efforts
in SECURING OUR TOMORROW!
May
God bless the Republic of the Fiji Islands.
